On The Environmental Health Services is concerned with the protection and enforcement of county, State, and Federal regulations. Our environmental health programs focus on preventing communicable disease and environmental conditions that could be harmful to your health.
Brazoria County Health Services Departments conducts the permitting and inspection of over 750 food establishments in Brazoria County and several local municipalities. The establishments include a wide variety of food industries such as restaurants, delicatessens, school cafeterias, grocery stores, retail markets, bakeries and bars.

A score of 100 is possible but if more than 30 points are lost, a re-inspection is required and corrections must be made to bring the score above 70 and in accordance with the Texas Food Establishment Rules. If Subsequent inspections score below 70, compliance actions will be taken. Re-inspection scores are not posted here but can be obtained by calling 979-864-1708.
